so if i were to cut just a 1/4 of a coil off of the suspensions techniques springs on the front of my car what would be the consequenses. (i know there's lots of stuff on here already about spring chopping stock springs... but nothing on lowering spring chopping)...

I want the car just a little bit lower than it is already w/ a bit less wheel well gap.

i have not heard of doing this such activity, but... as long as you don't let me cut them, :P you should be ok. just don't go too low, if there is such a thing.

Actually, I recently took another 1/2 coil off my Eibach's. That lowered the car somewhere between 1/2" and 3/4" to just a little over 2" total.

There is no problem, as long as you do not get the spring too hot cutting it. I used a new cutting wheel on each spring, and quenched the spring in a bucket of water every so often to keep it from getting too hot.

i know the suspension tech springs are A LOT stiffer than the eibachs, does this mean ishouldn't cut them... cause cutting increases spring rate and they're already frigging stiff!!

I didn't notice you're also from Winnipeg, hellfish87gt. Great meeting you. It's good to know more people from Winnipeg on the forum. I guess Mach10 and I should start moving our ass to form the club here. So far, 7 of us here. Cool.
