Looking for a picture of the exhaust tips on the 88 Formulas. I am getting close to making up some of my aftermarket tips and I wonder how far to make them come out of the rear facia. I'm not sure if making them the lenght of the OEM tip is the best choice. If anyone can send me some pictures of the OEM set up I'd appeciate it.

The exhaust tips stick out roughly 3.5 inches. Hope these help:

I only took pics of the side installed by the factory. The drivers side tip had to be replaced and the shop couldn't get it in straight.

Here are some pics of my coupe...

The 88 coupe and the Formula use the same fascia. Cutouts on both sides. The 87 coupe only had one cutout.

And the Formula...
Note that the Formula still has the stock tips, with the chrome tips slid on over the stockers. The end of the stocker is just inside the chrome slip-on. The slip-on only adds about 1/16" to the length, and nearly nothing (thickness of the metal) to the stock diameter.

Yeah. I know. They're dirty.

I still owe you part numbers, to verify that the coupe and the V-6 left-side tips are the same.

my formula doesnt have those covers..

I would extend them a tad past the bottom of the fascia or make them point down a little bit because the motor may run rich and turn the fascia black.
