I just got a new trunk lock assembly for my 87GT and the dealership told me they cannot assemble it using my door key pattern. Anybody know how o do this??

The tumblers have to be changed. If you have the old lock, they can probably be moved to the new one. Otherwise you'll have to visit a lock smith who has the parts.

I don't remember right now how that lock is built to tell you how to move tumblers...

I had a door lock cylinder recoded to accept my key last year for $15 by a local locksmith. I'd assume that it'd cost about the same for a decklid lock cyl.
