If bending the clips don't completely do the job for you, then take some old spark plug wires (or similar material) and feed it inside the seal in the areas where it's leaking. It'll help to bring the old rubber back up to where it's sealing the top again.

When I fixed the leak around my latch and hinge posts I took it all apart. Then cut an old bicycle inner tube into some small round gaskets (the old stuff had hardened and disintegrated) for the hinge posts and a square one for the latch.
I filled the holes in the glass with clear RTV and mated everything back together. When I was done, not only did it not leak but now the latch is very tight.
It has been leak free for about a year now and you can't tell I touched it without taking it apart. Does this all make sense? I can go into more detail if you want. Good luck.

Thats where the old spark plug wires go?
There is also a space that goes under the latch. It should have one there factory. I installed two in mine to bring the seal nice and tight.

I used to own a Pontiac dealership and alot of the Fiero's leaked from the factory or shortly thereafter. We had excellent success with just bending the tabs to make a tighter seal. But on a used one....15 or more years old.....you may need to do more. Just my 2cents worth.

Thanks for all the ideas! Mine doesn't leak at all, and the seals are perfect, but I want to make the latch tight, so the sunroof can't get opened from the outside at school.

The latch is adjustable. Take the plasic cover off the roof half and you'll see the 2 nuts that hold it. Usually all you need is a small tweek of the roof part toward the rear.

Just don't over tighten it or the ears that connect the 2 halves of the latch can bend or break.

You want it to snap the handle firmly closed but you shouldn't have to force it.

New rubber seal would make it tighter too. About keeping thieves out, making the latch tight wont even slow em down. If they want in all it takes is a smack on any glass.
