Does anyone know if the pressure switch is removable.My air works great if I jump across the switch.It's fully charged so I guess the pressure switch is bad.Thanks

Both switches are removable using that U-Ring plier tool. I think thats what your talking about...samething happened to me. I took it to repairshop and they jumped it to get it to come on. I sold that GT because it needed a lot of AC work-Summers are getting way too hot.

Your local auto parts store will be able to get the pressure switches for you. Snap ring pliers get the switch out -- the switch is color coded. Red, white or ? -- get the same one when you have your system serviced in the spring.

If you are talking about the one under the front hood, I just unscrewed mine and put on a different one from a salvage yard Fiero. $5 and now I have cold air.

Yep thats the one,under the hood.So it doesn't lose the charge when you unscrew the switch? That's great news.Thanks.

You won't lose the charge unless someone has previously taken the valve core out of it. Some folks seem to think that it's not supposed to be in there, but it comes from the factory that way.
