My headlight's work fine up and down. the problem i have is they take spells were they wont go up. i bought a new switch,(headlight switch),but the problem returned.work's perfect for a few dozen time's and then it quit's again. please help me! Any clue's? Thank's. must be a short, are there any more switche's to replace?

You could have a short, or maybe a sticky headlight relay. Maybe get a known good relay and try that. One of the members here, Rodney Dickman sells parts to rebuild headlight motors that are way cheaper than new or rebuilt motors, if it turns out to be a motor problem. If you go to the top of the page, you'll see him listed. Sells a lot of good stuff, and I've ordered from him and his service is great.

You need to tell what year your car is. 84-86 used relays and one style of motor, and 87-88 used an electronic module and a different type of motor.

It's an 84 model,all original. motors work fine up and down.
