Hello all. My ignition module went south this week. We replaced it with an old one off of my friends Fiero(still works), but I was wondering if there were any "performance" ignition modules that are good to use, or if I should just buy a factory module? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
[Edit] Forgot to mention...this is on the V6 I installed! [Edit]

I had an MSD 6A on my Formula. It cost 129 plus like 10 bucks for a wiring harness. Easy install and the car seemed to run smoother. It's hard to say if there was a performance increase, but I would guess there was a slight benefit. With this system, you can also slightly enlarge your spark plug gaps, which will also help performance.

If you are just doing the module get a GM one.

Count me in as one of the faithfuls for GM. Need a single replacement part - get GM Delco!

I have 123K on an original - no unscheduled maintenance (yeah, the usual oil/filter, tires, battery, alternator, timing chain, sensors, etc) engine/transmission/electrical - all original GM and still running like new.

Going to install a whole new system - do your research and install what you want/need.
