What in the Hell is the deal with the brakes? Fronts drag until they smoke and rears don't engage at all! Raybestos metalic pads...peddle is at full top of travel and VERY firm. (they feel like mechanicals) I just had new pads installed. (my pads...so no warranty)All lines bled to firm peddle. During install, rear pucks screwed in to clear rotors with the new pads. I did the fast backup thing right after change to unscrew them...any clews guys? Since they got so hot in front are my callipers toast now? Could it be contaminated hydraulics? Pads will not retract!

Sounds like your rear brakes need to be adjusted. Check out The Ogres Cave link at the bottom of the page.

Well, with rear discs, that won't do a thing.

The rears do the self adjust trip via the parking brake. Every time you yank on them, you cause them to unscrew a hair.

Sounds like a very $hitty brake job.

Dragging fronts can be caused by the binding of the front(secondary) piston in the MC. This happens quite often on cars that are pedal bled.

It's also posible you bound up the calipers from one or more of the following

Lack of lubricant on hardware
Wrong lubricant on hardware
Trash in the calipers.
Oil swolen soft lines and/or seals.

Rear calipers probably just need to be adjusted manually as described in my cave. It's common for them not to auto adjust properly.
