my turn signals quit working on my 85GT so i told myself this same thing happend to my formula and i just replaced the relay under the dash .. well i looked under there and it's like .. whare the hell is it??i looked all under there for about 10 min did they stick it in a diff location for the manuals "formula is an auto" any help would be cool

i am guessing you meaning the blinker unit.. it is attached to the heatercore cover under the passenger side dash

The turn signal relay is attached to the steering column framework- it's usually just "below" the lower plastic cover under the steering column. Mine was clipped up a little ways to a small opening in the metalwork- looks like a small silver cannister (about 1.5" around and 1.5-2" tall).

I replaced my stock taillights with LEDs, and had to replace the thermal flasher relay with a digital one that will blink no matter what voltage and bulbs you're using- the electronic one also says it'll last 10 times longer than a standard one, it's the "heavy duty" model and ran $12 instead of the standard $3.

Taking the trim off under the steering column should make it easier to find.

Yeah remove the plastic piece below the steering wheel, then it is on the left side(from the drivers seat perspective) of the steering column. The flasher is round and tin, it sits in a little clip so it is not just hanging.
