I was wondering if I could use p-tex to fix the crack in my bumper. If you non skiers or snowboarders are wondering, p-tex is a plastic type of material used for the base of snowboards or skis. Now I work at Sport Chek, we have a full service base repair kit. I can just melt the p-tex into the crack then sand it after. If anyone is familiar with p-tex, please let me know your views on how this might turn out.

The link to some pictures is here.

i have a couple of old skate boards with that stuff on them. just threw that in, i don't know how it would work on a bumper. i got some stuff just for urethane bumpers called 3m automix. seems to work good, cost about $35, but i just saw a similar offbrand kit at autozone for $15.

P-tex works on skis because it is the same material that the base of the ski is made of. When you melt the p-tex candle onto the base the base melts slightly too and creates the bond. Fiero noses are not made of the same material and would not melt easily to create the bond.
You can buy flexible bumper repair kits to fix the bumpers from any auto body supply store. Many of my mods were created with this material and it works great. It is expensive though.

It is a two part flexable epoxy for repairing urethane body panels. Here is a link to a company that explains the repair.
