I want to fill in the groove in my dash. What's the best product to use? I need to be able to paint it (to match the dash) when I'm through. Will Bondo crack? I can't paint silicone, can I?

I tried this awile back. Bondo won't crack if you put in a filler first. I used expandable foam, then glazed with bondo. I would recommend using a paintable calk or silicone, some you can paint read the tube. This way you can try to match the texture on the rest of the dash.
