I don't know the details, but...wrong bolt pattern, wrong offset, etc. Sorry.

Fronts would be a really really tight fit, if they fit at all...

Rears; no problem. (will require of course modifying the hub for both new bolt pattern, and suitable offsets for the wheels.

The offsets are going to be the second biggest problem (besides the fronts just not fitting in the wheelwells) because RWD places the mounting surface of the wheels WAY too far in. we're talking removing metal from wheels now, NOT a good or safe idea.

Porsche Boxster wheels are *much* closer to what you want...

C5 wheels ('97-current) have a LOT of backspacing. They are not the traditional deepdish RWD wheels.

The fronts would have to be spaced out about an inch (maybe a little more) to clear the suspension pieces at full steering lock. The rears will need an inch thick spacer/adapter, and possibly a strut spacer as well.

Ah, of course you're right, they are rather high-offset wheels, infact it looks pretty good. (still afraid of running such a large tyre up front)

I get
"Front 17x8.5 Positive 56mm offset
Rear 18x9.5 (woah) Posative 63mm offset"

On an 88 car, this would be nearly ideal, with maybe a 25mm bolt-bolt spacer on the rear. On a pre-88, front spacers might be needed too. Get the double bolt, hub centric variety. If you don't know what that means, find someone who does for the love of God!

Oh, lastly, POST PICS!!!

Best!
Ben.

(PS: will definately requrie *at the least* rear coilovers, and a posative sttering stop to prevent contact.)
