Ok here is the problem, I have an 1985 GT and thier was an aftermarket sunroof installed and it leaks, I really cant find parts to fix it and I would like the car to be the way it was "stock" solid roof without sunroof, I know the panels come off but shiping a roof is hard and thier about $100 around here in a junkyard, I was wondering If I could just fill the hole in with fiberglass and sand and paint it? it is just a thought, do you think a new/used roof panel is the only answer? please give me some ideas... t h a n k s

I have an aftermarket sunroof, and I want to get rid of it as well. I imagine you could glass it up, but I don't think it's even worth the time and effort if you are looking for a good job. A hundred bucks really isn't that bad, but I imagine you could find them for even cheaper if you looked a little harder, or bargained at the junkyards. I will be installing a stock roof myself, just because it will be easy and stock again. I'm not afraid of glassing, just don't think it's worth it in the long run.

Same here. I plan on putting in a stock sunroof as well though. MAYBE, just MAYBE, if I can scrape together enough money I'll do a t-top conversion. Who knows.
I think glassing it in would be a major PITA.
Plus, how safe would that be if the car rolled?

I would go for a stock roof panel. Not that hard to do. If they want 100 for all the stuff like headliner panel, roof panel trim, etc, that's not bad. I'm sure there must be a dead Fiero around that someone will let you have what you need cheap.

If you glass in the hole, you can do a vinyl roof or a fake fabric sunroof or whatever to make the hole look great. The little roof panel isn't structural, the metal skeleton underneath is.

I would consider installing another aftermarket sunroof, If i knew it was new and wouldnt leak, and I could find one, I know that would be easier, I wouldnt mind just going back to factory flat roof tho...

Look around he has factory sun roof parts.

I have not ordered anything from him but his prices don't look too bad.
