Hey all.. I got a quick question that I cant find an answer for in the archives. I recently got my fiero running and going down the road for the first time. Now that I got it running and the cat removed (it was all rusted out) I'm trying to fix the small(er) problems before I sell it to my friend in preperation for my move to the mainland. My problem is this: My auto tranny is very hard to shift. The button will depress, but it literally takes both hands to shift from park. Or to/from any gear for that matter. The tranny has fluid, and once I get it in gear the car goes down the road fine. I've only driven the fiero twice, so I dont really know how the auto normally feels, and my tach is broken, so I dont know the exact RPM it shifts at. But basically I think its all working fine except for just being hard to shift between gears. Is there any adjustments I dont know about? The car has been sitting for about 2-2 1/2 yrs so that might have something to do with it.

thanks for any help.

Sounds like the cable is binding or rusted.
Try some lube on each end.

could also be that the shifter is rusted up.
