Does anybody have any guides/tips/instructions for doing this?
What tools do I need to carry this out? Is it hard?
Right now, I have a 10" sub in a totally sealed box. It sounds good, but I don't get much bass inside the car, I just "feel" the base shake the car itself. Sounds good, bt now great.
If I port it into the cabin, do I need to attatch the port tube into the box iteself, or just leave it open in the front trunk? Meaning, do I need to just rub a tube from the front trunk to the cabin, do I need to attatch the tube to the box I have already, or do I need to make a new box of some sort?
Anybody that has done this, if you have any help, any help is appreciated, thanks!
------------------ It's sad, in the 20th Century, in the 1990's, we would have to still go the same bullshit route that artists have to go, to get acceptance. If it wasn't for the independence, if it wasn't for the small little cities, and the few little ghetto guys, trying to make music, it never would have happened. Some of these guys will never make a dime, some of thse guys will be poor and die, alone.
But in the proccess, they've been the true renegades.

Last question: what will it sound like if I just rub a tube from the trunk to the cabin?

where the heck do you have your box in the front trunk? is it where the spair tire should be? i dont see how you would be able to hear it at all.
i was thinking about cutting a hole from the front trunk to the pass foot well area and mounting it in the hole and makeing a sealed box on the back side of it.
Yeah, Mike, it's where the spare used to be. I have it rested at a 20º angle, and it's pretty secure. You can hear it just fine. It actually sounds pretty good too.

you might want to check out www.subbox.com They have some pics about the setup. You might even want to see if you can get em to share the info, just pretend like your interested in Their box.... Can't hurt I guess....
negative benefit there actually. The only reason the one from www.subbox.com works so well is because its a bandpass box (all the sound it directed thru the port tube). Your box I'm assuming is currently sealed, so if you ported it, it would be louder, but there is no need to port into the cabin, just put a port tube on the side of the box if its big enough.

essentially yes, but you should put the tube entirely in the box, not "hanging out". You need a specific lenght tube to tune it to the correct frequency. Tell me what woofer you have, and how big the box size is, and I'll let you know what size tube you need if you don't know already
