Here's the deal...

Changed oil and filter. Used AC Delco filter and Mobil 1 oil. Fired engine up to circulate oil. Shows lots of oil pressure, idled like crap, then stalled. Will now start and run for about 10 seconds before stalling. What to check for?? No codes sent - only 12...

Whatever the problem was, it seems fixed. I disconnected the oil pressure sending connector to check condition. Everything seemed Ok and clean, but cleaned connector terminals anyway. Also, checked fuses, all OK. Checked fuel pump at ALDL connector, that's OK and pump is running. Should be running !! It fired up and runs fine now !!!

I still have no idea what might have been going on.

the fuel pump shuts off if it doesnt get a pressure reading from the oil sending unit. may have just bumped the connection on the oil pres wire changing the filter.
