I have an '85 GT, non-backlit gauges, 85-mph speedo-one question before I begin my white-face excursion-how in the heck do I remove the needles? I pulled and I pried-avoiding scratching or breaking anything, that is. Please hurry-my baby sits in the driveway with no gauge panel as we speak!

PS-If anyone wants to donate a less-pesky 86-88 120 mph V-6 gauge pod, please let me know! Thanks!

Use a pair of dinner spoons to pry the needles out. The bowl of the spoon will not damage the face and the needle will be pulled straight out. Make sure to note the position of the needle before you remove it.

just make sure you pull it straight off from both sides of the shaft. I know some are realllllly tite. To put them back you dont have to press very hard, a gentle push is more than enough
