Listen people, I have read a lot of stuff about rodents in cars.

There is a quick fix that works I learned in my old mopar resto days!(had a few 20k roadrunners and needed to protect them in storage)

It works fantastic and you will never have a rodent and most insects ever live in your car again!

Go to the store in the laundry section and pick up a box of
Of Snuggels fabric softner dryer sheets. there on a roll in a box with that little bear on the cover!

Peel open the box top half way and pull out about 5 sheets and then push them back into the box (leave a 2" corner hang out)
put them behind a seat not on the carpet they may stain after long periods of time.

If your looking at storage longer than a month just put the open box on the passenger side floor carpet!

Rodents & insects hate the smell and will steer clear of the car with them in it!

one box will last about 5 months
every two weeks just pull out a few and toss them and then do the same with the fresh ones still in the box.

I had that roadrunner in storage next to a car with moth balls and a rat made a home in that other car not mine! and it will make your car smell fresh all the time also. this will also keep them out off your taillights if you stick a few sheets in a zip lock and poke holes in the bag, and stick some in the trunk and under your engine area! it works well and has a few great uses!
Thanks for the space
FD

I found:

5 dead mice in the blower motor.

1 under the dash when I slammed the door

a dead snake in the taillight housing while tiniting the lense

1 mouse nest int he taillight housing

Dryer sheets work well for small stuff. I had to clean out everything and use amonia to ge tthe Stank out...and i do mean STANK!

another problem , the little fu*KERS ate some wiring , so now the pontiac on the back of my car does not light up at night , I had a few underdash electrical probws I had to fix. As well my heatercore leaks and it's because somethin chewed away at the hose.

My dads Corvette that sat beside my car was untouched , so was my cadillac.

The easiest way to fix it??? Don't put your cars in a barn even if it does have cats in it. There were lots of cars stored in this guys place, mine was the only attacked.

So we built a 8 car garage at my house , heated and air conditioned , full work benches ...ahhh what a joy to walk from the house to the garage and have a nice shiney car with lots of room to work

Pay the extra money for storage , or pay more than it's worth in the end.

Slammed you miss the point of the post, the sheets are not there to get rid of the smell! there there to prevent what happened to your car. it is a preventative measure!
