I could be wrong but I remember seeing a site a year or so ago that had CAD drawings of Fieros. Does anyone remember this site and know where to find it? Thanks.

i was on 3dcafe.com and found 1:1 body/structural scenes/renderings for a lambo and 355. but nothing on the Fiero.. there are 3D lines drawings done in AutoCAD2000 but they aren't to scale and just kinda resemble the Fiero. (labled Fiero) but thats about the only way you'd recognize it.

were those files created on an older version of autocad( the reason i think older and not newer is if you click on the extracted file it starts looking for acad.exe the dos ver. of acad). all except one give me an icompatable version error. I am running acadwin-12. how would I post acad files of my own?

read the notepad file that comes with them. Some of them are r14,r13&r12
I downloaded the files from the realvision web sight. They are .DWG files that can be used in autocad along with . DXF files. If you just want the prints they can be plotted/printed and mailed. But if you have autocad these files should work. Tony, do you just want the prints or are you looking to work on them in AutoCad?? Or do you just want them for s & g(sh!ts & giggles) If you want them printed I could do it if you just wanted to pay for shipping cause if they are printed to scale they can get pretty big depending of the part. Just let me know.

My older brother is an architect who should be able to read these files. My younger brother works for Factory Five Racing (the Cobra kit builders) they are expanding into hummer kits now too. They do alot of custom work with aluminum. Wouldn't it be nice to recreate our cradles in aluminum and drop 100 or 200 lbs off the rear end? I guess for them to do it (if it's even possible or legal) they would have to know they could sell enough of them to make it worth their wild.
my version of autocad 2000 (full 3d version) will convert all the old files to the new 2000 files I think, its been a couple months since school has been out and I havent really messed with it

I just had my cradle out and was able to lift it over my head and onto the top of my jeep. I am not that strong so it can't be that heavy. But it would be nice to know the exact weight.
A fellow from sweden has got a full 3d model of fastback GT modeled on his website. I emailed him and asked if he'd mind sharing his model, and I would create a 3d interior for it, but he never replied back. I'll dig through my stuff and see if I can find a link to his site, he owns a yellow GT and silver 87GT.

I doubt that the 3d shape on the sweden site will be of much use, as it's simply a blocked shape with a texture map on top, and not a true scale modeling.
It'd be nice to find such a model, as I'd like to be able to tweak exterior and interior designs on the car...

That's exactly what I was thinking. *sigh* This *will* take a while. What would kick ass is a scale model, built, and using a digitizer from school. I'll look into this, but won't be able to do anything until Sept.
