Hey all, I need some ideas please. When I'm going through a right hand curve, above 20 mph, I hear a droning sound coming from the right rear. I jacked up the car and checked everything. No free play when I shake the wheels or unusual sounds when I rotate them. The cv joints seem OK too. I have 156,000 miles on my 5-speed GT and I should probably replace the cv joint/axel assembly and the rear bearings. Are all rebuilt assemblys the same, quality wise?

Could be a wheel bearing. If it is noisey on one turn and quiet on the opposite turn, that's a indication of a bad wheel bearing.

Here's an irrelevant point. A droning sound on a car with an automatic could be the TCC lockup. Find out by unplugging it.
