So, I've discovered that Suspension Technique springs come out of their mounts when the car is raised off the tires. I'm not impressed with that.

Do Eibachs do the same? I'm considering switching to Eibachs. On my A-car, they don't.

sorry I don't know about either but that is no good for the springs to come loose when you raise the vehicle. Did they give you the correct ones I wonder?

I don't have that problem with mine. They stay neatly in place. How's the ride height?

My factory fronts do this, too. Scared the bejesus outta me, the first time I saw it. Everything went back together when I let it off the jack, though.

My suspension techniques springs did that too. I guess that's just the way they are.

I installed the springs today. First thing I noticed is that I didn't need to compress the rear springs to install the nut on the struts. Bad omen right there. The springs would move around in the upper bearing cap.

When I was aligning it a few hours ago, I had to keep holding the springs in place when I lowered the car. Gets to be a pain.

Oh well, I'll run them for a week or so and ditch them if they aren't worth it. The drop was about 1.5-2". The ride is "ok". I'm using Monroe-matics to keep it from being too hard.

terry, my project car had/has STs on it. My rear springs are flopping around as well when not loaded. Right now the struts and springs are off.

Would it help to install a couple of hose clamps to hold one end in place, just in case?
Sounds like the springs are too short to begin with...

I'd just hate to have them pop out on a full rear extension. That would not be good.

The rear axle geometry isn't too great either.
