They say 12-14 HP gain at the WHEELS on a Fiero GT! I have to call BS, but if there is such as tremendous gain I'll take two of them! Wasn't there somebody on the list who was going to try one of their proms? If so, did they actually notice any difference? Did it remove the rev limiter?

I ran one in my 3.1 upgrade. The first one they sent me had a malfunction and the car would not even start. The second one did the trick.

I did not dyno test it so I have no idea what it really did for me. As far as the rev limiter.......???? I really don't know. I don't remember it having any limiter anyway. So, it may have done away with it.

Mine was in a 1986.

Remember, most of those advertised power gains are either at the flywheel (gross) with no accessories on the motor, and or available gains with a thermastat, headers/free flow muffler, and other modifications.

Most of the time it is not the hsp that is the greatest benefit. The chip will turn the fan on earlier (cooler engine temps), and provide more crisp throttle response. Other than that, you will not feel the car going any faster.

the fuel and timing maps are changed to optimise WOT. but haveing changed and dynoed a few the ONLY ones that have ever helped me out were one burned by the shop to match my fuel injctors. the ADS, Hypertech and JET units are only really worth the time and $ if you have an automatic.. and even then.. an MSD 6AL and a decent coil would yeild more of an increase.

1fst2m6... ijust got the 6a with the blaster coil also with the a new Flowmaster 80 series. I CAN feel a difference. my question is is the rev. limiter the only difference between the 6A and the 6AL??
