I just installed KVR's (www.kvrperformance.com) slotted rotors and their carbon fiber pads on my 88. I also installed the stainless steel brake lines from the Fiero store. I can't believe what a difference this has made! I can actually stop now! I am really looking forward to autocross season!

I also encountered the mushy brake pedal problem, but found that the rear pads were not touching the rotor at rest. It took three or four pedal depressions to make contact. The solution was to apply the parking brake a few times. That caused the caliper to squeeze the pads to the proper position.

Anyways, it is definitely a huge improvement over stock!

Cool deal! How much did the parts cost? Do they have parts that bolt into our 88's stock calipers and stuff? Thanks in advance!

most people don't use the e-brake but reality is that is what adjusts the rear brakes.......the e-brake should be used everytime you park the car........

The parts were completely stock replacement. There was no fitment required. That is what made this upgrade so attractive to me. The rotors were $148 and the pads were $55 an axle (Canadian Dollars). The stainless steel brake lines were from the Fierostore - $99 USD.

I haven't had my e-brake working since I put in the 3400 (about a year). I knew that I had to rebuild the calipers to get it to work right (the actuator levers were binding), it just took me a bit longer than I had planned to get everything together and find the time to do it.
