I'm finishing up a Testarossa conversion and I want to change the existing single square headlight to dual round ones, like the real Testarossa. Has anyone made a similar conversion, know of a car that would have a headlight configuration that could be "massaged" in, or know of something off the shelf I could use? I have a space approximately 11" wide by 5" high to work with. A photo of real Testarossa headlights can be seen at http://www.MoreThanMeetsTheEye.com/vroom/images/testalights.jpg Thanks!

Good question! It wasn't really a kit. I bought the car from a guy in Illinois who made the molds from Walter Paytons 85 Testarossa. He was building this one for himself, but used to sell completed cars many years ago, before Ferrari cracked down. His main business now is Hot Rod bodies & rolling chassis'. Heritage A&F is the name of the company.
I was told by a kit car guy that the Volkgswagon golf dual headlight assemblies will work in the Fiero headlight baskets. I haven't measured it yet tho to see if they would work.

Tim, Your car is looking great. While we're on the subject of TR lights, What are you using for front turning lights? They look like they might be OEM Ferrari parts. Are you using Nissan Sentra rear lights?? If you find that the VW lights do or don't fit, post the info here or drop me an email. Your body kit has the same major flaw as mine, no rocker panels! What did you make the side strakes out of?
The front turning lights are OEM Ferrari, and yes... the rear are Nissan Sentra lights. I've done a little searching on the web for photos of the Golf, trying to find which years had the round lights.
The side strakes are made of aluminum, and are an outstanding work of craftsmanship. The guy really knew what he was doing.

I've looked at the aftermarket sites and the VW lights won't work. We have a 10" space to work with and each VW lens is 7" round = 14 a no-on. I'll post the info I find about 4"ers i'm researching.

OK, I looked at the VeeDub today and it is a no-go. How 'bout an Isuzu Impulse with the flip up eyelids? or a BMW of some sort? Or a Mercedes? Or a 1970 Chevelle?
A few years ago I was strolling through a junk yard for some Jeep parts and I noticed a pair of light assemblies on a junk pile. They were twin small round lights with the little wipers on them! I thought wow, that would have been cool for the Lamborghini, but too late, so I put them down. I think they were Mercedes. Now a few years later and I need them for the Ferrari.
Tim, The late model US built Golfs don't use the round headlights, they use rectangular-like composites. The one in the picture is a european car (see the plate) or has the euro conversion (about $800 I think). The older US Golf used a single 7" headlight along with a smaller round fog light next to it, at least thats what it looks like.
The VW's also had 5 3/4's. Still no go. Still lookin.
