The weather has gotten very nice here in Florida and I cant go any longer without doing the sunroof swap. I started working on the donor car last weekend. I relativley sucessfully removed the headliner panel and all of the bolts holding the roof on. My big problem is that I have no idea how to remove that trim strip around the windshield. Any suggestions?

I am taking many pictures as I do this and I will write up a procedure once I get the job done. I have yet to see a decent detailed write up on this swap.

(If there is one, someone please point me in the right direction)

Grab the end near the bottom of the windshield with a pair of pliers and pull.
(if it's the black plastic/rubber bead between the windshield and roof panel you're talking about)

If it is that black stuff, I think there is like 4,5, or 6 philips head screws holding it on. Also there is probably some glue in the center of the strip. Also yo need to remove stuff like the the spring for the hood, lines for the windshield squirt stuff, ect....

no screws. its just stuck in a slot between the roof panel and glass with thick sticky black goo. Just grab the end like he said and pull it out. Prob be a good idea to use a new one when you put it back. I just did it to my car after a repaint.
