Work, yes, fit, maybe not. Some of the larger application pumps mount a bit different and are larger in diameter. When you go to put the sender assembly back in you'll find that it won't fit.

When I installed the Buick SC pump, I had to trim the float arm pivot point to get it in. Very tight.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if the LS1 pump didn't need the same thing.

Also, the flange on the bottom wouldn't fit so I changes the way it was clamped. The result was that it caused an annoying whine in the passenger compartment. I had to pull it back out and change the way I mounted it.

So if someone says it will fit, make sure it will fit right.

Mozy on down to a Chevy dealership and have them pull the LS1 and a Celebrity (86 and up MPFI with a 2.8 or 3.1L) pump and compare them. It will be obvious is there is a different.

The '94-'96 Corvette pump is a plug in swap with zero (O) modifications necessary.

I've done it on my '86 SE w/ '87 gas tank.

The GM part number is 25163464
The ACDelco part number is EP376

Be careful when changing the sock filter on the bottom of the pump. You will probably want to get an extra one with the pump.

'96 was the last year for the C4 Corvette. They were available with LT1/4's. The C5, LS1, returnless fuel system, and variable speed pump did not come along until '97.

Wow, that's good news then! The Buick SC pump is huge. I'm surprised it's that small. I think I'm going to get one!

Thanks Will, I am doing an LS1 swap to an 87GT. The LS1 requires about 50 PSI my fiero pump shows between 38-42 PSI at idle, I am guessing that the fuel requirements for a LT4 and an LS1 are not that much different, I know about the variable output pumps for the 98 and up LS1, I am just planning on adding a regulator instead, I think this should work, for the 97 LS1 did use a regulator and a return line. I also plan on putting resistor in place of the fuel tank pressure sensor to fool the PCM into thinking there is vacuum in the tank If anyone knows a reason why this wouldn't work please let me know Thanks!
