What is this piece? It is a rubber cone, about 3 inches high, and maybe 2 inches wide at the bottom. Underneath, it looks like there was a plate of metal with a hole in it (just through the metal, not the rubber) but now it is all rusted and falling apart? Some vital piece? I hope not.

is it cylindrical shaped? can ya take a pic?

i'm not the most knowledgable person on the block, but i have had most (well actually all) of my car apart and can't remember any triangular rubber piece.

Suspension bumper/bump stop is the cone shaped rubber thing mounted on the left and right lower front A-arms. Made to stop a really big bump from damaging the shocks or other suspension components. Never heard of one falling out, though..

They fall out allot, usually on the road where most people don't see them. The bracket rots off them. its pretty common.
