If you are doing a V6 swap (2.8 -> 3.4) you can take all of that off of your 2.8. When I am done with mine it will look completely stock (and the wiring will be identical) because I am swapping out the complete intake system and valve covers as well.

is it only the 3.4 that you can swap everything from the 2.8? Or can you do that on the 3.8 too? Also what is a good donor car for the 3.4?

3.8 is a diff engine, therefore you will not be able to swap components. A good donor car for the 3.4 is the 93-95 camaro. My 3.4 is from a 95 camaro with 47,000 miles. You will need the 3.4 block and i left the 3.4 heads in place, changed the intake to fiero and was able to use stock fiero fuel rail, although i used the 3.4 injectors on the rail. You will need your 2.8 distributor. I used my stock starter, obviously drilled and tapped on the opposite side. If you refer to Ed Park's website it has a detailed description of what you have to do. And of course this topic has been been to death with a stick so there a jagillion threads on it.
