no i don't own 120 pairs of skimpy undewear.

got a 120 mph speedo cluster. can i put it in my '87 4cyl coupe with out mods? i actually got it in hope that i would need it for an eventual engine swap (picking up the little things as i go and/or find them). would it be plug and play for now or is more needed? i know i'll lose my oil pressure guage but will use an aftermarket one.

maybe better to box it up till i know i'm doing an engine change?

I asked the same ? to he Fiero Store, and this was their response:

Robert,

Pull the old speedo out and plug in the 120 speedo. Very easy, just need to
find the 120mph speedo.

Thanks
The Fiero Store

So sounds like it just Plug-And-Play, I haven't personally tried it yet, but hopefully they are a reliable source. Later!

The 120mph speedo is backlit. Are your current gauges backlit, too? I know the '86 and up GTs and SEs were, but the 4 cyls? If not, your dash will look funny at least. At worst, it will be incompatible as the "bezel plate" (no idea what the correct term is) will be different.

hmmm...don't know monkeyman. the cluster was an ebay purchase and i don't have it yet. i'll have to look at both when i get it.

guessi should have asked if the tach and other guages and dummy lights would work too.

SDM1964 did the Speedo then the tach a couple of days later, the speedo was a lot brighter than the stock 85 tach.
