okay, before i start doing my own research (I am really LAZY and i dont want to lol) anyways. GM Makes a 4 cylinder engine for Marine Use, One person told me it is the same block as a 2.5. does anyone know? I was wondering if i picked up a short block kit if i could take everything (including emmitions) off my 84 2.5 and just stick it all on that engine then bolt it right up to the tranny with no modicications to anything.

thank you

Check this link...

It doesn't have the crossflow head, and it looks like it has the standard Chevy bolt pattern for the trans mount.
This is probably an evolution of the old 153 C.I. engine that used to come in early 60s Novas and maybe 70s Monzas.
I am told that it is unrelated to the Iron Duck. (I used to believe differently.)
