3400 dohc VS 3800 serious 2 nomally aspirated motor by p-man

In your opion which is a faster and more reliable motor.Beween the two motors in question above and which has more proformance parts for it 3400 dohc or the normally aspirated 3800 serious 2 motor.

Well stock for stock I think the dohc is rated better. I think it is rated at 215 where the n/a 3.8 is 205. The 3.4 tdc also redlines at 7k where as the 3.8 has the more traditional 5500 redline. I forget which has more toque (but I would assume the 3.8 sinse it is standard pushrod style, they tend to have more tq). I would also like to think that the 3.4 would work better with a getrag 5 spd so you could really wind it through the gears. Ummm you might ask TERYK or LOWCG they have experience in the 3.4 area.
