Hello folks,

Just thought I would inquire about the abilities of the fieros components before I bought one. Since I plan to swap to a 350 V8, I would like to see if I'm going to need to have any work done to the transmission and so on and so forth. If you have had any experience with swapping or any knowledge of the kind, your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

sure it will as long as you don't abuse it to much, as in no 5000rpm launches at the stop light while smokin a 5L mustang or pretty much any one else for that matter.

No launch at 5000rpm??!? Where's the fun in that?

Hahah, yeah, makes sense to me SO, what do you all usually launch at to *cough* kill *cough* the competition? During normal conditions that is of course... or hey, during any launch for that matter!

I'm lovin' these fieros more and more everyday.

My 350 Fiero has the Isuzu 5 speed, and is holding fine. No, I haven't had a dragstrip launch yet, and never really intend to (yet). I'm only pushing 207 rwhp and 290 rwtq , from a bonestock 350 longblock. FWIW, the guy before me had a 'hot' 350 in there (about 400 hp) and had the rock crusher 4 speed munci, and he told me it held up without a sweet. Acutally...I have that 4 speed in the basement......

BTW, my 5L Mustang would eat my V8 Fiero for breakfast (or any other meal) without much sweat....of course....the Mustang is 'slighly' modified
