A Chevy 350 does a quarter mile in about 20 minutes. That is if you can drag it that far. You'll have to be a little more specific: like what type of carburation, weight of vehicle, final drive ratio, gearing, etc. Quarter mile speed is a function of the drivers ability to drive the car.

The Chevy 350 could be in a truck or car. It was sort of a versitile engine that GM used for many years with many different internal components and external components providing many different horsepower ratings. Some 350 engines put out 350 hp.

Figure it's much faster than a v-6, turbo-charged 6, a modified 4, 3800 or 3.4. For times, figure about high 13's with good tires. 14's with a bad driver. If you go 350hp+, you will be low 13's.
It will run like a new corvette and many times better with the right suspension. Just a stock 350 motor should give you plenty of thrills when compared to your stock 4-6 cyl.
Worth it but you will have a hard time with resale value. Figure about $4,000-$6,000 for a normal fiero, $10,000-$13,000 if you have a body kit on it.

I built my 350 chevy and the hp I came
up with is around 310 to 330, I ran a 64 cc
chamber set of heads the cam is just under
a .500 lift (in & ex) roller tipped rockers
& Hyd lifters, a holley 750 jetted down with size 68 jets
and a Holley dominator intake, My G-tech
box gave me a true HP at the tires of 225
and a 13.2 1/4 mile, Some of the guys on
this forum say the G-tech is pretty reliable
By the way I think my Fiero weighs about
2700 but I'm not really sure, Also 4:10 final
gear with the 4 spd .

ferrari328:
If you're talking about the serial number stamped on the block (right in front of the pass. side head), some of the Mitchell service manuals have an Engine I.D. Section in them. Usually, the 3-letter combination is the key to the engine size/H.P. rating.
Check your local Public Library for Mitchell Manuals.

rprevo:

the g-tech will underestimate your horsepower if you enter a lower-than-actual weight. I would be surprised if your fiero weighed only 2700 with a v8 and driver. I weighed my 88 formula with the old 2.8 and it was 2700 without driver and with 1/2 tank of gas. I usually enter 2900 or 2950 for my vehicle weight. The best thing to do is get your car weighed as accurately as possible.

Thanks for the insight on the weight 3800. Do you know if a weight station on the side of the E-Way will weigh my car?
