I am quickly entering panic mode with this white gauge "conversion"!

The Pod is now cracked OFF of the support... anyone have a excelent way of attaching this thing back to the frame? I need a REAL good plastic cement!

As for the gauge's... I am haveing a bugger of a time getting those needles lined up right!... any thoughts?

Why, oh why did I decide to do this?

Signed, crying in NC!

Sounds like you could use a dose of "sit back, relax, and do something else for awhile." You've probably not done anything unfixable. If the dash frame broke at the supports underneath, it might be because you didn't remove the two screws (10-mm) under the lower cover (?).

If so, you can just remove the screws, take off the broken "ears," and epoxy the plastic dash support back together - after you remove the gage cluster from the car.

The gage modification you were trying to accomplish in the first place, should be relatively easy if you remove the gage cluster from the car and put it on a bench to work on.

stu.. yes, yes and maybe, your right. yes, i am going to take my time and fix the darned thing, tonight. yes, i should've done a better job, than i did, removing things... after all, i used to get paid to install toys in peoples cars!

as for the gauges, all is done, save for getting the needles adjusted right... that is the difficult, frustrating and time consumeing part of the whole project.

so, whats a great cement for the hard plastic?

I used Plastic Epoxy packaged in the two part syringe when I broke the lid off of one of my ash trays. It has held fine for 18 months so far and seems stronger than the original.

Good luck,

Carroll
