I'm a proud new owner of a 350 Fiero. I do like it, but I didn't put it together, so I coundn't comment on the 'effort to results' ratio. I do know Chris poured his heart into this one.
Haven't been down the track yet, so I couldn't tell you who I could beat, but I didn't buy it to 'outrun' other cars. If you want that, go buy a late 80's 5.0 or a LT1/LS1 Fbody, it will be cheaper in the long run (espically a 5.0).
Hey thats great to hear from other fellow Minnesotans! Anyways back to topic, do you guys now of any V8 fieros in Mpls area. I know of two. Ones a Lambo kit in progress the other is a Fiero I see cruising Porky's ocassionally. I think that guy sells a V8 kit with custom axles. Can't remember his name or email. Oh well, I already have my Archie.
Well I did my own fiero v8 kit made every thing at work and thus far 3000 miles on it and I couldn't be more satisfied with mine, 84 SE with a 93 LT1 converted to Carburation 4 spd 4:10 gear. Stock tires A real sleeper, The newest fast car I've raced was a fire hawk and I had no problems a Trans am with nitrous wooped me. I beat a 93 vette. and alot of others I've just smoked!! Never took it to the track.
Who actually was the first normal consumer to do a transverse V8 in a fiero? not counting GM tech center I mean a real backyard Mechanic kind of guy.

In a few weeks, my SC should be up and running with it's V8. I can hardly wait. If I didn't have other troubles going on right now I would be completely absorbed in the car. But that's life. You get to do something you've wanted for a long time and something else comes along and blindsides you. Well such is life. Live and learn.

Hey, Archie? Got a problem with that? I will get my uncle TONY to pay you a visit at the shop. You know us Italians. Just kidding. No...I just get bored and always have to have something new or exciting to do, that includes wheels. I am saving up for a v8. I figured I need over $5,000 in cold cash for a conversion. SO...I be waitin' IF I could sell my 88 GT - then I could finance a v8 conversion kit for my other car. I need to advertise locally. I haven't done that or the car MIGHT be gone by now.
