What's the best COIL and WIRES combo for an 84 2m4. I've tried crappy to medium crappy brands and they don't cut it. Time to upgrade.

The BorgWarner wires sold thru PepBoys and otheres have held up fine for more than 20,000 miles on my 87 DIS 4. I imagine they will do the same on the weaker distributor ignitions.

The main thing with the 4's is proper wire routing, which keeps the wires clear of the exhaust.. If you've lost the original wire looming relace it or use something close to it's equivalant.

Best Coil is irrelevant on the 4's. You can't rev or compress them high enough for it to matter. The OE coils are fine. Accell and MSD both make coils for the 4.

Gonna get yelled at for this, but the best wires and coils I've had have been....

(Drum roll).....

GM Factory parts. I know people claim the coils crap out at higher RPM's but I've run them to 6500 RPM and never had a problem. I've replaced Accels, Mallory's, etc, etc, etc.
