Ok, I read the post's about EGR and subsequent prosecution. That fact is, mwbackus is a hypocrite to his own word. If one were to take some time as I have, and review the search products under mwbackus, one might find that substatial advice was give on mods and performance upgrades without the mention of or concern for enviromental degredation. It was a sad thing to see, that one forum member could reek such havic on an entire community. It was uncalled for and completely out of line. For an individual to spew such hatered over a subject in which that same person has given potentialy damaging advice towards, is simply hypocritical. Not saying that the individual does'nt practice exceptional EPA compliance, rather, that same individual giving advice on modifications and performance upgrades in the past without even mentioning the potential EPA compliance violations; well, it seems to this observer that that person had a hard-on for someone and in his infinate intellegence, overlooked the fact that he himself was contributory.
Hate to see the forum loose anyone, especially those with great intellect.
However, sometimes the pain is easier to handle that way. Also note that in a couple of the afore mentioned perp's post's, it was mentioned that all of his mod were listedd in his profile. Guess what? The profile has been modified. No more mention of any mod's...coincidence? Hypocritical?

Well said Bam-Bam, I for one am also a little disappointed to see a member behave in such a manner.Especially when they have to resort to Racially Motivated type remarks. I cannot tolerate this type of behavior and (Being new to the Internet)I was mildly surprised to see that reading the written word can be just as insulting as it being said face to face. I don't apologize for my statements to Mwbackus but at the same time,I think we all need to excercise a little more patience. One of our members said it best......"there comes a time when you just need to walk away from the computer"

I agree. I stayed out of it. This board has been a wealth of info for me. It's sad when those who could really help people out turn them off from posting. Heck, I've given the wrong advice once or twice and I was intelligent enough to post a reply that apologized for the wrong info. That is the great thing about having a community of people who can share their knowledge. Take everything that everyone says and form your own opinions. As for all this history crap about the constitution and the 1st amendment, leave that for another web page. This is not serious stuff here, it's just cars. Relax, take a deep breath and let your buttocks release all the bad pollution within your body. Forget about EGR's. It ain't worth it!

Jay, not throwing flames and fluff I just want to state something about the egr thread.

I got involved in the discussion because, i believe that everyone has a right to their opinion, whether someone agrees with it or not. Everyone should be allowed to speak freely and openly, and with that those who disagree should be allowed to speak their mind as well.

However, when it comes down to taking names and reporting people that is just stupid, this is not circa 1930-1945 Nazi Germany.

Even though this forum is hosted in Holland, many readers are from the States, and other from around the world. People in general should not feel intimidated by hair-brain liberal minded people trying to stiffle conversations or ideas.

Choice is a human desire and need. And when people force others into submission, choice is no longer available.

The argument was a classical case of tyranny verses freedom and when such arguments occur I believe it incubent upon us all to point out the oppressor or those that advocate oppression.

Just in general, most of the postings were telling that one particular forum member, in so many words, what I just stated - get a life and stop preventing others from making choices. The thread was very educational.

The way constitutional rights are being perverted in todays society, it's nice to hear the voice of reason bellar through occasionaly. Let us all move on from this experience all the wiser for it. Let's enjoy the bond that brings us hear; the Fiero. Do not feel threatened to talk about your cars, the mods that you have performed or intend to perform, or the victories and defeats on your nightly hunts for the "RICER KILL". Feel free to express yourselves and let others do likewise. We are all different yet we are all the same. We all have likes and dislikes, mine may not be yours and vis-a-vis. Just keep in mind that we all share that common bond and try to be sensetive to others.
