I just sufferd a great loss: gear selecting between 1st and 2nd. Tranny-shop next door to work took apart the "External Shift Lever" and discovered that a small plastic bushing has worn out (after 160k miles). Original part number = 10035023 (according to mechanic). Does anyone know of a replacement?

Although you do not state which transmission you have, I am confident that Rodney Dickman may offer what you need to fix it. Here is the link to his site:

If you refer to the auto gear selector in the center console which clicks through park, neutral, drive etc... I have the whole shifter for 25.00$ if your interested.

Thanks Mike! That is exactly what I was looking for. For the record I have a Muncie 4 speed.
