starter mounting bolts by broke

1984 2m4 has had three starters in four years. Third (last) starter has had two sets of mounting bolts; they literally break off and leave part of the bolts in the block.
Why? What is wrong or being done wrong?

Have you been using the rear bracket on the starter for proper support?
