I think it's more like 350. I picked up the block today off the engine stand. I was ready for the thing to drop the ground when the bolts were pulled out, but it didn't. In fact, I just about throw the thing into the rear window of the truck I was loading it into. I figure about 80lbs for the stripped block. I could be wrong because I'm really strong. Now, since there is no engine/cradle in my GT, I don't have to go the the gym anymore because can bench what's left of the Fiero.

Just a stripped block weighs 105 lbs. This is in the Chevrolet performance manual.

As far as everything else I don't know. I have read on a website that the engien weighs 350 pounds. I also read on the same site that the iron duke weighs 350 too.

hmmm

Maybe we could have throwing contest with a V6 and an iron duke short block and whichever goes farther is the lighter of the two.

I weighed my old car(4cyl.,no air,5spd),was 2,550,will go and weigh my new car later on using the same scale, and see what my new car(V6,air,5spd)weighs,need to know axle weights for when I start making parts for my suspension(spring shims).

A totall difference of 120 pounds between the cars,so a V6 with air is that much heavier than 4cyl,no air.
