Anyone have any opinions or comments on Monroe sensa-trac or KYB shocks? My '86 GT is still sporting the originals.

I just put the Monroe shocks on the front of my 87 and they work great. The whole front end was still the orginal (EVERYTHING). I also rebuilt the compleate front end while I was down there.

monroe makes products designed for street use. They are very good product. I've use them a number of times over the years.

KYB, Koni, and others, typically make race grade parts. They are all excelect product. While they might trim a few tenths off your autocross time, you probably won't notice a huge improvement in handling over a "street" shock like Monroe's.

I think gas charged shocks/struts are much better than the standard hydralic type. Any brand would be a great improvment as long as they have this feature.

Thanks for everyones input. I think there is a special promotion going on by Monroe for $25 off a pair of sensa-tracs. If that is the case I will get them. If not, I will pay $10 more and get the KYB's.
