To make things clear it is you who is the troll. You know nothing about the situation but you want to make a statement based on pure speculation. He just received a $5000 offer and ridiculed the person that made it. No counter offer was offered and he made his rejection public. This contradicts your theory of "sell HIS car HIS way". I say put it on eBay and let the bidders do the talking. |

Again, you bought another car which means you are no longer a potential buyer. Answer the question. If not simply to harass, what ARE you doing here currently? What ARE you trying to accomplish with this? I'm not griefing anyone. I'm trying to get you guys to leave him be since you aren't currently a potential buyer. Go enjoy your car (you know, the one that it appears you paid considerably more for than what the SD4 IMSA went for in the auction you listed as a way to try to devalue his car and argue about his statements). Move on already.

JT - from your auction reference on the first IMSA: "My buddy in California picked this car up for the move along with a few others for the auction. He called me on it as I know the whole history on it but mum is the word for now. I have pictures as it was built . This car is not for the Faint of Heart as it will need money and work to get running again so if you are not up for spending plenty I would let it go to those who can take car of it. It also cannot be driven on the road so do not get any ideas of owning it for a street car. This really is a storage type vehicle that can be trailered only to any showings." Rick B
And the second auction is from 7 years ago. That one definitely can't be driven on the road or possibly on the track either without extensive work.
So neither of these vehicles are good comparisons as they are not street driveable as mine or the one you just purchased. Which by the way you paid almost twice what legutt was offering and about 3 times what dobey offered. You seem to understand the value of an IMSA . I hope that you enjoy your new ride for many years to come. Mine will be with a new owner in a new garage soon.

C'mon guys. Play nice here. The man has a very nice car...Why is anybody badmouthing it? Seems to me that there are a lot of guys here that really wish they had something this nice. Compliments only from now on. Lets play like big boys.
If you want to see a real IMSA racecar, e-mail me and I'll send you pictures. I'll not post pictures here in this thread as that would really be in bad taste. Mine is a real racecar with the SD4 in it as it should be. I'm too old to race any longer so it just sits. I go sit in it once in a while and fire it up to rekindle old memories. Kinda fun for an old man.
Bless you and good luck with your sale. You have a very nice car and I think you should keep it. You'll probably never have one this nice and with this quality again.

Who is badmouthing whom here? The only ones causing problems here are those jumping in and calling the rest of us names, simply because we asked how much the seller wants for a car that is supposedly for sale. Even you now in your post are insinuating that you and the OP are somehow better than the rest of us.
If the car is as great as everyone says it is, than it doesn't need a bunch of people providing pointless brown nosing of the OP, to get the car sold. All it needs is a price, and a buyer. That's how the big boys play.

I insinuated nothing. I made the man an offer. He rejected my offer. I verbally shook hands with him and walked away. I did my part and he did his.

Here, let me spell it out for you then:

Just what the hell do you think you said there? You are very clearly insinuating that those whom commented in this thread, and simply asked for a price to be stated, or whom disagree with your points of view, are somehow not worthy of participating in any discussion. You clearly didn't walk away. You're still here telling the rest of us how we're somehow unworthy of such greatness, and should bow before its glory, only coming into this thread to pay homage to a car, which no price has been stated for, has basically no information provided in this thread, and all requests for such details to be posted in the thread, have been outright rebuked by not only the owner, but anyone else who decided to come in here and disagree with those asking for that information, to stir up the pot.
So if you want to play like big boys as you so put it, then don't presume to tell the big boys how we should only be here to praise the owner for even considering putting a car up for sale, despite the lack of any sale related information being provided, rather than asking for that information.

No but funny how people think that it's ok for them to trash someone's fs thread. If someone calls them out for it, it's "forum police"? I felt it appropriate to bring their actions to proper light. There are too many people here doing nothing but harassing other people for no purpose. Just because Cliff doesn't have active moderation, that doesn't mean people should be griefing every single thread they can.

Dobey, come on now. You guys want him to post his price, he doesn't want to. What legutt has basically said is that the mature thing to do here is to accept he doesn't want to do that and walk away. How does that make him the troublemaker? You guys are wasting your own time and everyone else's by trying to force your opinion on something that truly doesn't involve you directly. I know, I'm doing the same thing, but my motivation is to try to get everyone to chill out a bit. Just like Mr. Tate, how can continuing this possibly lead to a positive outcome for you or anyone else, unless you find pleasure in the drama created?[This message has been edited by mptighe (edited 08-03-2016).]

IMSA/GT. If you post a price now, YOU LOSE! Hang tough
I looked at your pictures, I paid attentention to what you said. I paid no attention to what others said. I made you an offer based on your pictures and your description. You rejected my offer. I'm ok with that. Anyone else made you an offer? You're in charge here. DON'T let anyone else tell you what to do...Including me.
I haven't the least idea who you are other than what the forum tells me. Now hang tough and let no one "step on" your principles. Regardless of all the naysayers, it's your name on the current title and you're in charge.
I STILL wish you the best. I won't be back any more...This is my last comment...Promise.
