Smoooooth, Thanks for asking bud. Health wise, not so good. I try not to let it bother me. My goal isn't done yet. U bet I am gonna live till it is done. Importantly, I hope to meet my kid someday before I go. I came across some guys, they were complaining about child support. Man, that would be luxury if I even get to give child support to my kid. Then I would at least I'll get to see her sometimes. anyways... sorry to get into details, lol. I love talking about my baby. Welcome back agian bud. Pat K.

In another context that would be funny, but not this time. People who know me know I make many a sarcastic and or cynical joke, but some things you just don't joke about like that. No harm, no foul Unsafe. Just "speaking my mind" again.

Good point, but someone else pointed out that he's not a high roller. Bondo and primer don't cost that much, but that much of it...I don't know. What he does is his business. I agree with you Dot, food is more important that bondo.Thats why I left that part alone.

Smooth: I never laughed so hard as I did with your 4-step explanation. That's a work of genius. If I remember correctly, the actual incident happened a couple years ago, right? This isn't exactly a NEW thing. Good to have you back, no matter what anyone says. 84Trevor: You don't even have a clue about what you are talking about. It is SO easy for you to sit off in the corner and preach about "how there are better ways to do things." Have you even moved out of your parents place? Do you have a family of your own? I didn't think so. Stop talking out of your ass. 80s Boy: While highly entertaining, your flames are just outright uncalled for. YOU are the only one to start with the profanities and mud-slinging. And I think your new blinking red light accurately reflects just what the rest of us think of **** -disturbers. Steve's post didn't come across as self-serving or whining. People asked where he was, what had happened, and he posted just that. Where do you get off on this? Johnny: I'm reasonable about pretty much anything, except for rapists and child abusers. Though criminally wrong, Smooths actions were (to me) perfectly morally justifiable. However, Steve still has to face up to those actions (which he has been doing.). MY THOUGHTS: Steve ****ed up. BIGTIME. **** piled on more **** , turning this whole mess into the granddaddy of all ****aroos. BUT IT'S DONE. Nothing can change that. No amount of flaming or whining. Steve has said he will fix it. Does that mean that everyone should come away with a warm fuzzy feeling if Steve puts everything straight? No. It was a **** UP. We should all put it behind us, where it belongs. Personally, I don't think Steve's a bad person because of this mess. He didn't post those ads with the intention of yanking you all around. But it DID turn out that way, so the onus is on him to clean this mess up. But in the meantime, welcome back

I didn't know Bondo was that expensive. Also, some people on this forum can't seem to put themselves in others' positions.. and they must not have kids. One more thing.. I hope you like it Smooth. [This message has been edited by Wipe0ut (edited 12-12-2003).]

This whole thing is a ****ing joke. I don't care if I get a negative for this, 'cause if this is where the forum is going, good riddance. For all you bashing Steve for what he did, I can't say I would have done it any differently. I am a very relaxed guy, I come from your average 2 parent, upper middle class family. Walking down the street, I am sure I would blend in with everyone else. There is no way that I would have let this **** get away after beating up a child. I wouldn't have drove his truck into the lake, grand theft auto and destruction of property are not my cup of tea, but he didnt commit attempted murder here. He scared the **** of a man. I think he got of easy by being dumped into a lake. Obviously, there wasnt a threat of him dieing, or Steve would have had the boys in blue at his doorstep the next morning. I sure as **** would have assaulted him. I would not have only broke one of his arms, but both, and most likely made it so the **** couldnt have anymore kids to beat on. He should have called the cops, he should have talked it out, he should have done something else. **** THAT!!! I have been in the middle o a domestic violence case before, not with my family, but with a good friend's family. As it was, me being 16 at the time, and the abuser being a rather large 45 year old man, I still knocked his ass down a flight of stairs. The cops were called quite a few times before this, as were counceling services, social services, etc. But he was a respected member of the community, and she was a 16 year old "troubled" girl. I have had nothing but negative experiences with police. Yes, most police officers are good, and they are not super men. They are bound by the law as well, and have to stick to guidelines, rules, and laws. I understand that, but it is that fact that can stop them from doing anything in cases like this. And the type of cop who will look past these laws, are also the type that drop teenage shop lifters out in the middle of nowhere in the freezing cold with almost no clothers on (Case going on where i live for the past few years) When the law fails, you take the law into your own hands, and get done what NEEDS TO BE DONE! For 80's boy and Trevor... **** RIGHT OFF!!! This has nothing to do with you!! Yeah, it has nothing to do with me either, but I have had good experiences buying from steve, as well as him sending me a free part saving my ass in a bind. I have talked to him lots on here, and as far as the internet goes, I concider him a friend. So I am steping in. Let him make things right! The man spend the money, and no one is going to say that was ok for him to do. Even though he says he needed to do it, you are right, he could have sacrificed some material items, but he didnt, he spend the shipping money. This was stupid of him, but its done, so get over it. Let the people who's money he spent bash him. You can **** off. If Steve does not pay these people back, (which I am confident he will) then everyone who is supporting him on here, I highly doubt will. No one is kissing his ass, and no one is holding back because he is smoothGT on here. It is because he has been a figure on this forum that people have got to know, and a lot have had good experiences in dealing with. He has never ripped anyone off, so I am sure he will continue this trend. For people playing the moral card, he did not commit murder here, he did something that any MAN, who truly wanted to protect his family, would have done. He took it a little further than most, but when you love someone more than you could even love yourself, you will do anything to keep them safe. Some call that insane, other call it nobility. It is IMMORAL, it is an AMORAL situation. Steve, do what you gotta do, this guy was lucky it was you, he would still be hurting if I was in your shoes. edit: I was going to fix a lot of errors but **** it, look past 'em [This message has been edited by soup (edited 12-12-2003).]
