I have -- not for real -- flown an SR-71 . . . in a flight simulator program. It seems to be all engine and no wing; it's a booger to get off the ground, but once you're up . . . point it at the moon and climb until the sky turns black!

I've only taked with a guy who has flown them (Brian Shul, of 'sled driver' fame btw, breat book) Your description sounds almost verbatim like something he once said  He also confesed to me that, while aspects of the SR-71 are still classified, that at mach 3.5, he still had *three inches* of afterburner throttle travel left.... Best!

Now I've been very patient with you, Triad. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't ban you as well. You've shown an incredible amount of disrespect for me now, time and time again. The amount of complaints I'm getting about you now equals the amount of complaints I get about yo_sweet. The reason that username now shows up as "unregistered" is because I deleted it after the messages were posted. I don't feel like going through half a million messages to find out which usernames yo_sweet has been using. Instead, I let him post with all his usernames and delete them as soon as he does. But why am I even explaining that to you? You don't even take the time and trouble to send me an email as soon as yo_sweet pops up. Instead you rant here like a little child, and let me do all the work. Even start topics here about stuff you should have emailed me about first (see the thread I had to move to the Trash Can).

Cliff, this is the only time I've openly criticized your management of this place. Yes, I've PLEADED with you to clean the place up a bit, but I've always accepted your decisions.
I have also emailed you SEVERAL times about people posting under fake names, etc, but it gets old crying to you about something you had the power to completely aleviate all along, and chose to make us all wade through it instead. My problem here with this particular fake user was; as always, you deleted the fake name, but did NOTHING to rectify the underlying problem with the "registered" user who did it. This is a place where people used to be able to be a "family" of sorts...now you get flamed for everything you say that some moron thought he had different info on, and you never really know who you're talking to or getting emails from. (I know you have no control of emails, but had you banned these people months ago, they would likely have gotten bored and left us alone a long time ago and never gotten to the point where they are now, sending worms via other members' email addys.) ------------- Anyways, yes, it was harsh, and I do apologize for the tone.
...But I stand by my immense dissapointment in how the overall tone of this place has changed in recent months.
