Not trying to be mean, but he's right. It's not racist to think that way, it's right to think that way.

I "think" Japan will not allow us to sell our cars there. I know I heard it was true, but that was a few years ago, it might have changed now.

I hate to buy things made overseas, but sometimes you have no chioce. If I have a chioce, I'll spend twice as much to buy the product made in the USA!

This country is going downhill fast. We are building the best armed forces we can to protect land owned by people that live in Japan.

You want to know what's really sad? Seeing an old man that was alive/in WWII driving a Toyota Camry. Also, there is an Airforce Base a few miles from me. On my way home from work I see men wearing fatigues coming out of the gate in mostly imported cars and trucks!

I'm done.

Quite trying to be Mr. Pacifist here. If you can't hold your own in a discussion then don't talk.

quote

Nor do you listen to those with wisdom trying to bring some levity here.

WISDOM??? LOL, take a couple classes in electronics, then maybe a few on the internal combustion engine. Your not bringing any wisdom to this discussion, only thing your bringing is your opinion.

quote

All you say is ass dyno, ass dyno... misleading, misleading. I used the the phrase "ass dyno" humorously.

You used that term to attempt to prove your point. You ruined your credibility in your initial claims of HP from your 3.4 and Zmax usage.

quote

But you guys here that term and your head starts spinning around. the extra pull I felt was significant.

Then maybe you should look into muffler bearings, and headlight fluid.

quote

and I don't have time to go to LA to find someone with a dyno and I really don't care. Although it would be cool to know. If You think a person could'nt feel another 5hp then I must be getting more of a gain than thought! Maybe 6 or 7hp. Its my car.

If someone offered to pay my dyno fee to prove him wrong, and I knew I was right, I would make the time.

quote

How can you know exactly how my car has responded to these plugs. Are you the grand poobah.

How many times do I have to say this? An in-depth understanding of Engines...besides its not like no one else has a 3.4...your not being unique here.

quote

Your rage over this goes way deeper than plugs. Sorry to all those who are suffering through this thread.

Again quite this apologetic pacifist thing.

quote

Just a positive experience with a great plug (my opinion)that brought the raging humorless out of the woodwork. Constructive disagreeing is valuable but young angry malcontents screaming their "I'm right that's it" mantra is an embarrassment.

Young? How old are you exactly? You’re the one refusing to let yourself be educated.

Spark Plug wars!

Use what you like! Afterall if it makes you happy who am I to stir up crap. But I do have an interesting observation.

The center electrode is made from iridium not the earth ground electrode - like a platinum spark plug. Has anyone noticed that the earth ground electrode wears more? We pulled a set of plugs from a van and instead of the center elecrode being worn down smooth on one side (rounded off) - like AC steel plugs do when they get long in the tooth, the earth ground electrode was worn.

Basically I think many are missing the point. And the point is that different parts work better in different setups.

Then again, what do I know? I'm merely a Computer Scientist and a teacher. (BTW, we are human and make our fair share of mistakes also. REally!) I use to swear by the Bosh Platinum +4 (and they do work really well in many stock applications - yet not very well with my MSD setup). Needless to say, after their failure I tried several types of spark plugs; Autolite Platinum Plus (still in the 88 Coupe - it likes them very much so), AC Delco Rapid Fires (gas mileage went down, but ran fine), Stock AC Delco (can't say I felt a difference of a decrease), and finally tried NGK UR5 steel spark plug and they work quite well and the NGK UR5GP works equally as well and that is what is staying in because I'm not playing anymore. Gapped at 0.060" I judged the torque on my standard trip to campus, 70MPH cruise control on and the automatic overdrive does not down shift when going up the big hills on the interstate as it did with other gaps and plugs. - 0.070" was too much. Yeah, for about a month I thought I was taking or chaning the spark plugs five times a week playing with settings. I found what works and that is what I'm sticking with. Dyno testing or a G-Tech probably would have made it better than chance. But I reason pulling the hills as a good indicator of less or more torque with the OD setup.

Have Fun!

I'm looking foward to the fellow who post about using the Brisk spark plugs and 205HP! (haha!)

What you know does'nt matter half as much as who you are. Your attitude toward someone you don't even know is something I've never encountered. You two are the angriest most arrogent bastards I've ever met. REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU KNOW. I've been on PFF 1 week and you've helped me decide I'm done with PFF. What great REPRESENTATIVES you turned out to be. Shaun and Rogue_ant...THE WINNERS.
I'm gone

Were you going to answer Shaun's question before you go?

Don't be afraid of him. After all, he's the official troll -- just look at his sig.

Wow, the ability of some people to turn any thread into a flamewar never ceases to amaze me.

a lot of companies use sweat shops, we studied them in a career class in high school. the worst one we saw footage of had armed guards working young girls (10-14) 18 hours a day. one of the girls collapsed from heat and exhaustion, and a guard hit her across the face with the butt of his rifle.. he also hit the cameraman who had snuck in and was hiding... as the girl fell over, we saw what she'd been working on. a Pochahontas t-shirt.. it was a disney factory.

and on that note.. my family is european too. dutch & british.. but hey, my favorite exotic car is still a Porsche 911....
