Loki, since you were out in the middle of the desert, do you know if they had any waterholes available for you?

Because I've made it perfectly clear on several occasions that I will only close or delete a thread based on content, not based on how much space/bandwidth it takes.

I've also made it clear on a few occasions I didn't like the Gwen Stefani thread much, and that I wish it would go away.

I still feel that way. As long as a thread stays friendly, I see no reason to close or delete it, no matter what I might feel personally about it.

Also, if a thread is not closed or deleted, that doesn't automatically mean I think it's ok. It usually means I haven't read it.

I also must disagree wholeheartedly that the "level of maturity" is dropping to dubious levels. Perhaps so in the T/OT section, but most certainly not in the other sections. The level of professionalism in the TD&Q section is still high, the number of flamewars in the other sections still low. I frequently visit other forums and without exception, on those forums every other thread ends in a flamewar.

[PERSONAL OPINION]
That said, most of the flamewars here seem to get started by the same people over and over. And these people all have one thing in common: that they can't seem to butt out of things that really isn't their concern. I especially love the "attention whore"-shouters. Somebody posts something which in itself is quite harmless, and somebody else walks in and finds it necessary to accuse that person of being an attention whore. Makes you wonder who the attention whore really is. The funny thing is that these people consider themselves a valuable asset to the community.
[/PERSONAL OPINION]

Just my two cents.

I'll see your two cents and raise you four.

hey wait Cliff. i thought you are suposed to be sleeping over there. Your in the Netherlands right? Ive been there and its probably about midnight?

Lady Pegasus - I wasn't pointing fingers at you, it was just that your statement was a good springboard for what I was going to say anyway.

The way I look at is this - before I start a new thread on here, I ask myself if the topic I'm about to start is worth taking money directly out of Cliff's pocket to do it?

Just my two cents...

Reminds me of parents. They HAVE to stay awake, cuz they know the minute they let their guard down and go to sleep, the kids are gonna get into trouble. They couldn't be more right.

Your point being?

I still have a good 4-5 hours left before I go to sleep.
