Hey Logic! Good point! May I try to answer? God is like light, to live with God is to live in the light, to live without God is to live in the darkness... Evil, as some try to portray it, comes from satan, but this is not true, evil comes from the individual... The longer someone lives without God, the more corrupt their life becomes... And they do not feel the corruptness affects their lives, but it actually affects how other people interact with the corrupted people... How do you react when you find people who are back stabbers, cheap, lying, and corrupt? You want to stay away from them, and not trust them to keep their word? Many such people do not like the idea of a creator who has a set of rules to live by, they believe the individual should set the rules of conduct... Then, when many such people try to live together, they have to enact "LAWS" to live by and set the "MORALLITY" for the others to live by... Unfortunatly, they all believe the rules are ment for the other people to live by... So the laws don't really affect the morallity of the corrupted people... That is why you see so many laws on the books... And they are all loosely based on the ten commandments... Strange how God covered all our problems with ten laws, but we can't post those laws in our schools... Some people claim the commandments were handed down over 5000 years ago, and they still fit daily life today... Is their an answer? Yes, there is... His name is Jesus, and all we need to do is ask forgiveness of our sins, and try to live our lives in his light... Fitting, today is in celibration of his rising from the grave and the concoring of death... For all of humanity...

SW - trash compactor scene, 3P0 to R2D2 ordering shut down of all compactors as they are standing across from MillFalcon in docking bay referring to soon to be crushed friends. 3P0 is holding a com link and R2 is 'clicking and spinning' his way through the Death Star computers. Music is a big bass drum beating ever faster as walls close in.... You remeber it now?

True, about 70 priests (out of about 700) have been accused of molestation, and, undoubtedly, many are guilty, but only when they are proven beyond a reasonable doubt. rayb has already convicted them, of course, because of his disdain for organized religion of any kind.rayb has also neglected (as have the rest of the liberal press) such stories as the former principal in the Amherst MA middle school, who fondled an overweight 13 year old boy's "breasts." He is a homosexual who was trying to adopt a four year old boy. The four year old told Dept of Social Services personnel that they watched "funny movies" and played "bouncing games." The fact that there are so many priests in trouble probably lies with one of two situations. Homosexuals have long worked to infiltrate the church, and have attempted to bring discrimination suits (in violation of the First Ammendment), or simply to apply covertly. Becoming a priest would be a natural for the latter. Second, I'm sure that there were many in the 60's and 70's with some gender confusion going on, and the church seemed to be the perfect place to sqelch their leanings. The liberal press has no desire to explore these avenues, as they are still smarting from having to report the connection between NAMBLA and two men who lured a ten year old away from his neighborhood with a bicycle, then beat, killed, and had sex with the boy's body before encasing him in concrete and dumping him in a river. The Boston Globe (Owned by the New York Times) has had no problem with the activities of NAMBLA (The North American Man Boy Love Association), except when similar activities are perpetrated by priests. No, it doesn't make it right. The point is, we should be able to feel reasonably safe for our children anywhere, not just in church. rayb also fails to mention that there were no federal prosecutions of child pornography under the Clinton/Reno administration. |

If you don't bring people in you can't con them out of their money. You kow ray b I agree with some things you say. I don't use them but I do believe drugs should be leagalized. But this whole child pornography thing...you can certanly tell you don't have children. Ya gotta protect the children. I also am getting a head ache trying to read your posts. dude my kids can write with more clarity. I also don't think gov. should be telling you if you can look at porn or not. As an adult I should be able to do what ever I want with my time and money as long as I'm not infringing on others. By the way YES child pornography is infringing on others. I think talking to this guy is a big waste of time... |

I agree with you on the business aspect. And as far as the bible goes, yes it is mistranslated but if it is the book of choice for you then it is the book of choice for you. When I left my church I threw away every christian book or teaching that I had on hand. And being (rymes with foreman) I had a lot around. My mother is still a very important part of her religion. How could I keep teachings and books around that say I am evil and will always be evil. I am not a bad person, but every christian and catholic would just love to take my Friends and I and string us up for the way we live. I also relize that a lot of you are very liberal in your thinking, and that is wonderful. Keep it that way and teach your kids to be wonderful human beings like yourselves. What I am thankful for: My partner he is my life, lover and best friend. My friends for being so supportive. and being alive.(it is tough now and was in the past) I think if you are alive and living on this earth then you have completed the biggest task in the universe. Craig. PS Cliff I love the trashbin. Love to read the great S*&T in here. And now ppl who want to read can and those who don't well you know what I mean. Now I am confusing lol.
