I love cars, especially Fieros. I also know that I don’t know much about actually doing the mechanical work & body work; therefore I belong to this form. I just did a Google search for motors & guess what they are not 100% complete.

Analogy: I just found out that my road right away (it’s a dead end) behind my house is 33’ not the 10’ like I was told when I bought our house over ten years ago. This means I have to cut down about 24 pines I planted ten years ago. Yes I’m mad as *ell, Yes it does not make sense to me. Yet it is what it is. I guess I’m just really mad at myself. Although I would like to take it out on others (like the township board members) I don’t.

Moral of the story: PFF is your friend and so are 99.9% of its members. Tomd42 you’re so new you don’t know this yet. My advice to you is to make nice so you can stay and play – we are a fun bunch once you get to know us.

This post wasnt meant to be a rambo. It was meant to warn people of this kid who sucks ass. And quite honestly I dont sweat cashing a check.

tomd42, I know nothing of the specifics of the situation, but from what I can tell, you saw a rebuilt engine for sale, and purchased it. No where did anyone say that it was a complete, ready to just drop in and go engine. If it were, it would cost a lot more than $1,700.

I just spend the last weekend with both MadDanceSKills and FieroGuy123 at the Tyler Shipman Memorial Car show. I can tell you, they are two of the nicest and most honest guys you would ever want to meet. They were both all over the show helping other people with mechanical problems and such.

It just seems like poor communication on both parts, you did not ask the right questions when the sale was done, and they did not offer any further information, assuming you would know that it would need some work to put it in a car for the $1,700 price tag. I can not say, as I was not there, but it also seems they did inform you that parts were off of the engine, but would be shipped with it to complete the engine.

Tom, you probably also are a good guy, but feel you have been wronged, and tempers can flare at times like this. When you get the parts back on the engine, and its all installed, you will have an engine that is certainly worth more than $1,700.

I know how it feels to get parts, and then the extra cash for a mechanic to put them in! I just swapped a blown 2.8 that was in my car when I got it, for a rebuild 2.8, and the labot was over twice what the cost of the engine was, and it still is not completely done!

David, with the exception of "a few bolts" said it was ready to be dropped. And half the parts he sent WERE BROKEN. I get what I pay for. Six mechanics have seen this engine now and all are telling me to drive to INDI and get my money back.

So you're going to come teach me a lesson? You'd even have a handicap being that I just had surgery to rid myself of cancer. I gave you my address. Once you decide to drive 5 hours down here to teach me a lesson let me know. You can even call me goofy looking in person! I bet that will be a real adrenaline rush.

What is it about the Internet that people think they can make physical threats? We all know they aren't serious. Cliff gets death threats pretty often from people across the ocean. Lol.

I told him I was selling him a longblock. Because I'm a nice guy I sent him hundreds of dollars in parts on top of the engine itself since I heard his shop was bending him over. I guess my pappy was right; "Give em an inch and they'll take a mile."
