Here is another POV. If Obama is black, then he is white. Half his genetics are from a white woman. Me personally not being racist, I don't care if he is black or white. And THAT is why people are concerned about things like what was brought up in this thread.

Now, is Obama going to blatantly attack Israel? Of course not. He is too politically smart to try that. But is he going to have meetings with terrorist leaders, be sympathetic to their causes, and implement whatever policies he can to favor them over jews? From what I have been able to assess about Obama, who he is as a person, who he talks to, who he doesn't talk to, etc. I have to say yes.

Some of you might like a president with that point of view. If you do, you know for whom to vote.

I think your reading too much into how outsiders will see him. I'm not knocking your here, actually it's a compliment, you are probably better informed than 95% of the US, HOWEVER , thats why you are the way your are. The rest of the US will just see him as a educated black...... AND if your in another country , you likely won't even know that he's black, just that his first name is Obama....

Point is , just because YOU are well informed, you can't assume others are.

Not to quibble too much, but it was Central America, specifically El Salvador/Honduras. And how come nobody ever discusses how treasonous it was for saint ronny to try to circumvent congress to fund the Contras? Why is that off-limits?

I can't tell you how sick I am of the saying "Mr. Bush" out of one side of their mouths while still calling Fmr Pres Clinton "Mr President" or "President Clinton" out of the other - it's a blatant and obvious lack of respect, and it has NO place coming from the mouths of people who claim to be patriots.
