archie: Phil.. never met him, so I couldn't say, but no, he doesn't sound like a good guy. But Gary, he was a great guy.. As for not speaking in coherent sentences (You must not be reading every other word), go read the post in OT (I believe it is), entitled "First 3800sc into 11's" or something..

I just noticed something . . . while EPA approval may affect someone building cars in Illinois, the "C" in CARB stands for California. And CARB has way more stringent requirements. Something about making all the liberals on the Left Coast happy . . . Either way, CARB doesn't apply to him, and the EPA shouldn't either, because he's using production motors that have had to already pass EPA requirements at the factory. The only thing different about the emissions from the motors in different cars is the exhaust setup, which, as I hope you know, can be adjusted with the use of mufflers/catalytc converters, and possibly the EGR setup, which probably, (if someone would actually ever want that sh*t on their car) wouldn't make much difference at the tailpipe sniffer anyway. Oh, well. I guess my Christmas vacation is being spent crtiquing other peoples posts in The Trash Can. Sigh. ------------------
